Educational Psychotherapy

Educational Psychotherapy is a specialised form of child psychotherapy that integrates therapeutic techniques within an educational environment. It is designed specifically for children and young people who face emotional challenges that interfere with their ability to learn, often stemming from adverse childhood experiences such as trauma, loss, or family difficulties. By addressing these emotional barriers in a familiar educational setting, Educational Psychotherapy provides a supportive space where children can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and enhance their emotional resilience, ultimately improving their capacity to engage and succeed in their learning journey. This approach is particularly beneficial for those who struggle to thrive in traditional educational or therapeutic settings, as it combines the understanding of psychological needs with educational development.

Drawing and Talking

Drawing and Talking is a short-term therapeutic intervention designed for children, young people, and adults. Over 12 weeks of 30-minute, one-on-one sessions, this gentle approach helps individuals process emotional pain from trauma through drawing, rather than relying on verbal communication. This non-directed method encourages self-expression and emotional discovery, complementing specialist mental health services without replacing them. What makes Drawing and Talking unique is its focus on emotional exploration rather than solution-focused or cognitive-based techniques.

Educational Psychotherapy Assessments

EPT Assessments are offered over 4-6 initial sessions and helps the therapist assess individual circumstances.
